The perfect authentic Hong Kong congee experience!I had Chicken Congee and asked for extra Fresh Ginger. Delicious! As congee gos, this was wonderful. Big bowl for $35HKD / &6.29CAD. Very thick and flavourful. Air conditioner on c-c-cold only criticism. Speedy polite service, atmosphere to spare hahaha, shared table. Easily accessible by MTR, bus or on foot in my case. The noodles looked great too. I’ll gladly return.

5 For the atmosphere encapsulating the local essence. If you want to have a hearty meal just go here, they have sharing tables and will make you sit with an absolute stranger wherever there is a spot. The soy milk is honestly really good. The rice rolls were too good. I am not a big fan of congee in general but theirs was quite nice and filling. Portion sizes are enormous.

It’s been a while since I was in HK. But I didn’t forget this congee shop that has great congee and other stuff. The menu on congee itself is mind boggling. I had to sit down for a while to decide what I wanted. Of course the fried mee is a must cost in HK they use good quality soya sauce to fry the noodles. That’s why it’s known as king soya sauce fried noodles (酱油王炒面). My porridge/congee is the giblets congee with added pig blood (something I can’t eat back home). All of that it cost me HKD55 and it’s worth it. The number of different giblets is a lot. Interestingly HK pork liver is not bloody type yet its texture is hard on outside and soft inside fully cooked. Really love it.

A real local congee spot in the Wan Chai district! It wasn’t in my original plan, but I highly recommend it. They also have an English menu. The congee was excellent, with a great texture, and the meatballs were delicious. The Steamed Dried Shrimp Rice Roll was a surprising highlight—I loved it and highly recommend it to you!

Love this style congee not too thick. Small portion suitable for early morning or late night.

This is Hong Kong so I am happy with the efficiency, not being yelled at and the English menu. Congee consistency was not too dense and not too watery, so for me, it was perfect. Served piping hot. I ordered the century egg and shredded pork congee, fried dough in rice roll. My colleague, who is vegan (eats eggs to prevent egg allergy) and allergic to most things, ordered the plain congee and enjoyed his bowl immensely. Service was super fast and the auntie asked in Chinese how did we like it. So made our morning start, super happy! Will come and eat here before we leave. There are also condiments and salt and pepper on the table to season the congee as you like.

The congee was not bad. It's a nice, hot breakfast (YES! hot not warm) to fuel me up and start the day. I personally did not finish the rice part because it was too much for me; I ordered fresh-made, and I think it's larger than the normal ones. The meat ball was okay but the liver was still a bit stinky to me, and the overall taste was bland, but could be easily fixed with the condiments on the table. I went there by myself, and many elders were going there by themselves too. So I didn't feel weird, and it also ensured this is such a local place

Had a salted egg Sampan congee which was delicious and a cheung fen- rice roll. It had a great amount of chew and the congee was just filled to the brim with yummy fresh ingredients
